A photo of Man’s best friend is one of the most enjoyable type of picture that really puts a wag in my tail. And if you paw around the interwebs, you’d think they are the most photographed subject in the world.

To make an amazing photo,  you need to find the best angle, catch the right moment  and  perspective within a click.

But capturing adorable, funny or stunning moments with your furry subject requires lots of luck and patience. Getting your pup looking good for a photo shoot is easier said than done, trust me I drive my peep crazy sometimes when it comes to catching me at the right moment.

Dogs are quite unpredictable in their behaviors and motion blur by a wagging tail can distort your photos quicker than a wag of a tail. And if your a dog model model like me, I demand to be paid in treats!

Every year, the UK’s largest organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the health and welfare of dogs holds a contest to find the best photographs of dogs from around the world. The Kennel Club’s Dog Photographer of the Year Contest is open to professionals and amateurs of all ages from all around the world.
